About Lia Castiglione
Lia Castiglione is an access arrangements specialist and Director of Castiglione Consulting Ltd. She has over 30 years’ experience in education, supporting learners across a wide range of settings.
She is known for translating complex regulatory guidance into clear, practical approaches for centres.
She is a specialist teacher assessor and holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate, with extensive experience of assessing in schools and colleges and advising on all aspects of access arrangements.
Lia is the author of Assessing the Need for Access Arrangements and co-creator of a postgraduate qualification for access arrangements assessors. She is a SASC Authorised CPD Provider and has previously served on the SASC Board of Directors.
Her work is closely aligned with national guidance and regulatory frameworks, including JCQ, and she contributes to wider sector discussions through participation in Ofqual consultation forums.
Lia works with schools, colleges, and awarding organisations to support the implementation of access arrangements in a way that is practical, evidence-led and inspection-ready.
